I am always amazed by our students, but never more than when I travel with them. So many have never had the opportunity to travel. Despite this, their enthusiasm to learn, to be, and to engage with other people astounds me. As I sit here on an airplane flying over the Caribbean Sea, I can hear several of our students talking with other passengers on the plane describing what they’re doing on this mission trip to Belize, what CofO is like, and that they work for their education. These conversation always prompt and curious enthusiasm in their conversation partner as they are intrigued first with our students and then with CofO.
I am thankful I work at such a unique institution that encourages students towards life-changing experiences whether traveling or working.
